The Future of the Workplace - social enterprises and the post Covid workforce Social enterprises are recognised worldwide for taking care of
Social enterprises are recognised worldwide for taking care of people and communities. But they are also recognised for taking better care of their workforces!
Research tells us that they are more likely to pay the real living wage, they are more likely to have support systems in place for mental wellness, they are more likely to have diverse supportive leadership teams. In this new world we need to reimagine the way workplaces function and social enterprises are already steps ahead in it.
Join us for this event to talk about, celebrate and share learning about the ‘new normal’ and how actually, for us in the social enterprise sector, it’s not so very new at all.
We will also have a chance for you to see how our new distributed board model is working in practice and to take part in one of our 3 action groups.
(Wednesday) 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An opportunity to engage with commissioners, investors and practitioners in the field about how we can find innovative approaches to care Care
Care is a major economic sector. Across England it employs 1.5 million workers with a mission to help people to lead the life they want, regardless of age or disability.
However, there are problems affecting services including: low wages, poor working conditions and the extraction of wealth by private-equity backed chain companies. We would like to explore how more innovative and socially entrepreneurial approaches to care could lead to better services and a more inclusive economy.
Join us for this interactive session where we will work together to find new and innovative ways to address care provision in our community. We will hear from commisioners about how we can engage with local authority plans and support providers about what is available to help you start and grow your business to fill the gaps.
You will also have the chance to hear from people already working on the front lines about their journey and how they are reimagining care provision.
