Members help members at our Network Meeting

Our Network Meeting this week demonstrated the benefits of collaborative working.
It was proof that if someone in our meeting can’t help, they know someone that can.
Representatives from a range of organisations gathered to hear Penny Tarrant of Pedalbins and Mark Hodgson of Co cars speak about their social enterprises and members were able to experience first hand just how easy car share can be when looking a Co car as part of the meeting!
Attendees were able to input their ideas for the up and coming car share club for Plymouth and Mark confirmed that talks are taking place about key locations in Plymouth to run the scheme.
Pedalbins aim to set up a food waste collection service by bike in Plymouth and Penny came away from the meeting with new key contacts and ideas on how this will be rolled out.
Representatives from Plymouth City Council and Food Plymouth were also on hand to offer support regarding these initiatives.
We heard from our members about the projects they are working on and look forward to hearing about updates on these in our newsletters.
There was an update from Michelle Virgo from the PSEN exec on the forthcoming projects the network are undertaking including a new website!
A good turn out and good discussions. Many thanks to Millfields Trust once again for their excellent hosting of the event.
