Free furniture for Plymouth based charities and voluntary sector organisations

Plymouth Citizens Advice Bureau is moving offices over the weekend of Friday 27th March – from the 2nd floor to the 3rd Floor of Cobourg House, and it is anticipated there will be surplus office furniture and equipment that will no longer be required.
Plymouth CAB would like to offer the furniture to Plymouth based registered charities and voluntary sector organisations, free of charge, on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

If you are interested in any items that may be available, please e mail office.move@plymouthcab.org.uk  on Monday 23rd or Tuesday 24th March when there will be an idea of items available.  Later that week you can go along to the office (Cobourg House, 32, Mayflower Street, Plymouth PL1 1QX) to take a look.

It will then be your responsibility to collect the items on Monday 30th March (arrangements to be made in advance)

Plymouth C.A.B. accepts no liabilities or costs incurred with the arrangements as above.

    Dear nicola,

I came accros your very interesting post re the surplus furniture offer. I am currently setting up a small business via the governments enterprise scheme after being out of work for quite some time. The new business has the support of action for children as we have agreed to donate quite a large percentage from each new clients costs to the charity. The whole business is built around the fact that we donate and all of our clients will in turn make donations to help disadvantaged local children. They will also be listed on a new web site and mobile app as recommended local businesses who support the charity.

I wondered if I would qualify for your furniture offer as I have found a small office through the council but have no furniture. I really need two desks, chairs and a filing cabinet. I would be prepared to pay an agreed amount for them if necessary.

    Great idea !

Hi Kevin – it sounds like you should contact Plymouth CAB for details – if you email them at office.move@plymouthcab.org.uk on Monday 23rd or Tuesday 24th March they will have a better idea of items available…
