This is the official notice of the forthcoming network AGM to be held at 1pm at the Wolseley Trust Community Resource Building, Wolseley Business Park, 27 Wolseley Close, Plymouth, PL2 3BY on 15th May 2012. The venue is just behind the Co-op on Wolseley Road. A link to the venue is here: www.wolseley-trust.org.
The network will be officially one year old! It has been an exciting, challenging, rewarding and inspiring year. We hope you can join us to celebrate this and find out more about the plans for next year. We will receive reports from our officers and undertake elections for the next year. We are hoping to arrange an external speaker too – watch this space for confirmation of who this interesting person will be.
A limited number of car parking spaces are available – please let us know if you intend driving so we can reserve them. There are regular buses on main routes from the city centre. Also, we will provide refreshments so please let us know you are coming so we can order the right amount of tea and cake.
We are will be electing the management committee members of the network who will go on to agree the roles of Chair, Treasurer, Co-ordinator, CASAP (Community and Social Action Plymouth) representative and two other non-post holding committee members. We intend to take nominations on the day but if you are interested in any of the posts please let us know. Also, if you have any questions about what each role entails please also contact Gareth Hart, PSEN Co-ordinator – email@example.com or call 07786 863206. Please note that only one representative of each ‘full member’ organization will have a vote in the elections but associate and full member representatives can stand for election.
This is our first full AGM. The agenda is available here: May 15th AGM Agenda. Last year, since the network was in development, we adopted the constitution at one meeting then elected officers at the next. Here are the minutes of the meeting where the constitution was adopted: May 2011 Minutes and when the officers were elected: July 2011 Minutes.
Significant business at the AGM (other than elections) will be voting on proposed amendments to the constitution of the network. A paper outlining the proposed changes and the reasons for these changes is available here: Proposed Constitutional Changes.
